Jim Musgrave, Audio Engineer
Jim has been involved with music from an early age. During
college he played bass in a number of rock groups, but the
majority of his non-academic time was spent running sound
for local and regional bands at the University of Alabama.
By the age of 21, he had already mixed several national touring
acts such as The Byrds and Alex Chilton.
After interning in two 24-track recording studios, he moved
to Orlando, Florida to earn a Specialized Associates Degree
in Recording Arts from Full Sail Center for the Recording
Arts. With the valuable technical knowledge and experience
from Full Sail, he continued engineering in Birmingham, Alabama,
both live and in the studio. Over the next two years, he engineered
dozens of records, worked with recording artists in many genres
of music, both in the studio and on the road.
From 1994 to 1996 he applied his knowledge and experience
as an audio sales consultant for one of Americas 500
fastest growing privately owned companies, Sweetwater Sound.
After a brief stent booking concerts for Blues artists on
the Vent Records label, Jim moved to Annapolis, Maryland to
work with his father in the financial business. He is currently
a Certified Senior advisor and a comprehensive financial planner
affiliated with Lincoln Financial Advisors. Please visit www.JimMusgrave.com.
