"Something old, something new, something borrowed...". For something blue, how about Blue Sky 5? They add a touch of class and distinction to any wedding reception.

Dressed in tuxedos and set up to fill the corner of a room, the band is well suited to a variety of reception halls, ballrooms, and outdoor venues. The music can be light instrumental jazz for the cocktail hour, then jump into vocal-driven danceable swing after dinner.

If a bigger ensemble is desired, the band can add a female vocalist, a guitarist, and an additional horn. Or a trio (bass, guitar, and sax or trumpet) can perform in the more intimate spaces of your venue.

You can custom tailor your entertainment by selecting a mix of ballads and faster-paced numbers from the tune list. Your favorite swing song isn't the repertoire? For a small fee, Blue Sky 5 will write an arrangement from the original recording. Announcements can be made by the bandleader, or a member of the wedding party is welcome to use the band's sound system.

As with their other performances, you can include swing dance instruction from some of DC's finest teachers. No matter what the skill level, everyone can participate and join in the fun of Lindy hop!
